Dream Of Bees Everywhere

The Dream

“So in my dream I’m in an old house looking for something but not quite sure what. Suddenly a swarm of bees appear in a hallway, and cover me from head to toe. The sound is defining, and so dense it was though I was swimming in bees.

I start to feel a little claustarphobic, and some start getting into my airways, but otherwise the bees don’t really bother me. I decide to slip into a room and gently wipe the bees off me, and attempt to get a little air. In the process I get stung a couple of times on the hand, but otherwise it was like wipeing water from my body. Far more happened after that but can’t quite remember the rest. The bees stand out most in my mind. Any thoughts to what it could mean?”

The Interpretation

Bees most often symbolize hard work or being busy. If you’re covered head to toe with bees it reflects your feelings about a life situation that is all-consuming. You’re are swamped with hard work or some issue your life that demands a lot of your time.

Your hands in a dream symbolize capability or the freedom to do as you please. For example, losing your hand in a dream would reflect your feelings of being robbed or powerless to do as you please.  To have bees stinging your hand reflectshard work that makes you feel incapable of doing what you want.

You getting away from the bees and then wiping them away reflects your escape from this laborious situation.

Dreams Within Dreams

The Dream

“Has anyone ever experienced a dream within a dream? What I mean by this is your asleep having a dream and you then go to bed in your dream and have another dream or wake up from a dream in your dream at which point you think the current dream is reality but concious of the fact you have just had a dream? I was just wondering if anyone has ever experienced this or if anyone has any views on it.”

The Interpretation

Dreaming of having a dream is not uncommon, but most people who have them usually dream of experiencing themselves waking up from a dream while inside a dream.  Positively, a dream within a dream is usually a symbol for a situation in your life that wasn’t as serious or dangerous as you thought it was.  Perhaps, you were expecting something really bad in waking life and it ended up not happening.  In a negative context a dream within a dream may reflect waking situations that didn’t turn out the way you wanted.  You may have had big hopes or expectations that didn’t end up happening.

Dream Of My Mother Grinding Up Against My Butt

Background Information

“im a bit overwieght :/ 5″2′ 145 lbs.  my mom makes fun of me judges me all the time.  my boyfriend is perfect wieght for his size but he tells me to ignore her becuase he loves me either way.”

The Dream

“Heres my dream im in the closet n theres a mirror there I’m in my jeans but dont have a shirt or bra n im starting at my fat i see a knife n i grab it, i slice my stomache n i pull out the fat from my stomach wen im don’t i look in the mirror , the cuts already healing n i have “the perfect body”i like at my smaller but curvy waist my round but n i cover my boobs i look pale n my eyes have shadows, i seem scared then my mom walks in and she stares she says “you dont need to hate your body anymore look at you now” and she pushed my butt into her crotch n grinds it then she trusts hard into my butt n says wat guy wouldnt want to bang you??

I freak out n push her out then lock myself in still covering myself,my cuts have healed n theres only lil smears of blood my bf walks in n puts a shirt on me, i go to this table were their taking shots of tequila like crazy so i do it too to forget about my mom, my boyfriend pulls me to a room and starts undressing me n we lay in the bed im not really in the mood so i push him off of me then he goes down hes like no babe i [i]want[i] to please you then i wake up….wat could it mean?”

The Interpretation

The dream sounds like it’s reflecting your insecurity about your self-image and your struggle to accept yourself.  It’s also sounds like you may be using your sexual activity as an indicator of self-worth.  You believe that because you are having sex that you must be good enough.  Being in the closet may reflect how you are hiding your sexual activity from your mom while she criticizes you as though having sex indicates that you are skinny enough.  You secretly believe that if you told her it might stop her from making comments.

The mirror represents you noticing yourself having sex and measuring your self-worth based on it.  Being in the closet with a mirror symbolize your sexual activity that you are hiding from your mother.  You don’t want to talk about it, or that you feel is too personal to be open about.

Your mother in the dream probably symbolizes your projection of her being wrong about your sexual power due to your weight because you aware of yourself having sex.  You feel sexual activity devalues her comments because may try to make you feel that your weight will keep mean away.  She symboizes your wish to tell her about your sexual activity to shut her up and get her to stop making comments.

The tequila shots with your boyfriend and him eating you out symbolizes you knowing you can have sex whenever you want.

The dream appears to be reflecting your insecurity about your mother’s comments as well as your fear of telling your mother than you’re having sex as a measure to make her feel that your weight isn’t an issue.  Probably because you fear that revealing that information is more dangerous than allowing her to criticize you.

Outer Space Dreams

The Dream

“I’ve only had one dream that i was in outter space, it almost felt like an outter body experience… i was just floating out there just out of the earths atmosphere, then i came crashing down towards the earth at a crazy fast speed! SMASHED into the ground and woke up! and i was like WOW crazy dream… i want to hear about peoples SpAcE dreams”

The Interpretation

Dreaming of outer space represents the unknown.  You are experiencing new situations, new feelings, and new ideas.  Your life and mind are going where they have never gone before.

If you come crashing towards the earth at the end of the dream it may point to a return to your normal life and habits after experiencing something very unusual.

Constantly Topless In Dreams

The Dream

“I have a crush on my boss and ever since I told him, I have been having dreams that I am topless, or braless and trying to conceal my breasts. Sometimes when I am topless I am holding my breasts so they can’t be seen, and sometimes I am free with it.

This morning in my dream I dreamt I was very skinny and literally just had 2 nipples on my chest, no breast tissue. The areola’s were tiny and the nipple was average size. But no breast tissue.

The Interpretation

Being exposed to others in a dream reflects your feelings about being unable to hide your feelings or true intentions.  In your case this is probably reflect symbolizing your awareness of yourself having made your feelings towards your boss out in the open.  Choosing to show your breasts to your boos probably represents your occasional feeling about much you want your boss to think being with you is a good idea.

As your dreams slowly begin to display a less enthusiastic attitude about showing off your breasts you are most likely experiencing doubts or insecurities about having told your boss how you feel.  You may not think that him knowing your true feelings is a good idea any more   or possibly don’t like the idea of other people knowing.  The fact that you eventually see your own breasts being totally flat symbolizes your perception of yourself becoming powerless to interest your boss in being attracted to you or to want to date you.

The dreams would appear to be reflecting the initial confidence you felt from telling him how you felt and the slow regret or embarrassment that began to build as time went by and nothing came of the relationship.

What Is The Best Book On Dream Interpretation?

The Question

“Can you tell me what the best book on dream interpretation is?”

The Response

The best books you will ever find on dream interpretation are by Gillian Holloway Ph.D.  Her work should be the foundation of everything you study in dream interpretation so that you get a really good basic understanding of symbolism and how it applies to real life. Her work is based on years of surveys, research, and leading dream groups. On top of this she has a Ph.D. in psychology.

There’s no guessing with her books and the insights are probably the most accurate you will ever find because they come from studying patterns in real people’s lives.

She has two really good books:

The Complete Dream Book
Erotic Dreams: The Secrets To Understanding Women’s Passions

The first book, “The Complete Dream Book” will help to give you a good basic understanding of the most common symbols. The second book “Erotic Dreams” will help you to learn to see dreams as a story metaphor as it applies to real life.

While not every dream can be perfectly interpreted, professionals who utilize surveys and speak to real people about what they are experiencing in their lives at the time of their dreams are much more reliable than amateur translations or sources from “gifted” people. Most dream interpretation books are in my opinion arrogant, based on nothing but the authors biased opinions, or totally focused on doing nothing but making you feel good without addressing the real problems encoded in the dream symbolism.

I can speak from experience that research using surveys is remarkably accurate and should be the foundation of anyone interested in dream interpretation. Anyone who doesn’t exploit this valuable resource is ignoring one of the most insightful and powerful tools in dream interpretation.

Are Conscious Dreamers Mentally Stable?

The Question

“Hello, I wanted to ask you if conscious dreaming is a sign of mentally instability.  If not then why do conscious dreams happen?”

The Response

Conscious dreams, better known as lucid dreams are totally normal.  If anything a lucid dream should be considered a special moment or a blessing.   A lucid dream is not a reflection of mental health, but rather a symptom of nutritional adequacy.    Your brain decides when and how lucid you will become based on the availability of the required chemicals and nutrients to make you lucid.  Acetylcholine is the primary nutrient that you brain uses to dream.  If you have a lot of this nutrient and very low toxicity in the body then lucid dreaming occurs easily.

If you wish to increase the likelihood of having a lucid dream I recommend experimenting with small amounts of citicoline, vitamin b6, vitamin b5, or purchasing galantamine off a dream herb website.

Why Cant I Fly In My Dreams?

The Question

“It’s occurred to me recently that in my dreams I can never truly fly but only jump really high or glide I’m also not sure that this means much but its gnawing at me. Any help with that will be truly appreciated.”

The Response

To dream of flying represents your thoughts and feelings associated with a sense of freedom to do what you want, or to think or express yourself without restraint. Flying dreams commonly occur around positive waking life experiences that make you feel powerful, in control, and free.   Flying dreams are very common around positive sexual experiences, powerful spiritual experiences, participation in personal passions such as hobbies or the arts. Intelligent people who have creative outlets commonly have dreams of flying.

Difficulties flying symbolize how impaired you feel to realize goals,  express yourself fully, or do your best.   If you can jump or glide, but not fly this may point to you feelings of being close to what you want, but not being able to fully experience it.  Something makes you feel limited.

Having Bad Dreams While Pregnant

The Dream

“I am now 5 mos pregnant and I’ve been anxious lately. All I pray for is a healthy pregnancy for me and my baby. Here are some of the dreams that I have.

1. an aggressive cat who actually bit me. I felt its pangs and it was really painful.
2. an archer trying to aim arrows at me – luckily I was able to avoid its target.
3. dreamt that my siblings are texting me freaky Halloween quotes (am specially concerned on this since halloween symbolizes death)
4. people were trapped in a gas chamber
5. several nights ago (recent), I dreamt of dying and literally becoming a soul, dreamt of vampire bites and of spiders.

I am honestly at my most paranoid state at this point. any advice from you will be very much appreciated. I don’t want to spend the rest of my time wallowing in a pathetic mood. If not much of your time, kindly help me. thank you in advance.”

The Interpretation

I believe all the dreams are reflecting your irrational fears about the pregnancy and your feelings about the caring for your unborn baby making you feel restricted.  I’ll go over your points just as you’ve numbered them.

1. Cats in dreams symbolize illusions or self-deception. Nicer cats usually point to a need to feel good or safe about a fantasy or delusion. However, in your case the cat is mean and attacking you.  This points to a lack objectivity that is scaring you.  Telling yourself that something scary or negative is mandatory or has to happen.   Possibly beliefs that something will go wrong with the baby or that if you don’t have something you don’t really need all the time the baby will suffer or die.   The cat is a sign that you are allowing your emotions to override rational decisions.  You may be doing something that you think you have to do in order to keep the baby safe that just isn’t as serious as you think it is.

2. Siblings in dreams reflect aspects of yourself that you are competitive with.  In your case it’s probably a representation of your insecurities that you are struggling to avoid succumbing to.   Text messages reflect unspoken signs or communication.  Scary Halloween texts may reflect how you are reading too far into tests being done for the pregnancy or symptoms that you body is giving you that make you feel that something is wrong.

3. The people trapped in a gas chamber sounds like your pregnancy is making you feel like your being totally cut off from other areas of your life. Your fears or irrational beliefs are making you stay away from anything hopeful or objective.  Something in your life may be making you feel like it’s taking over or “exterminating” your identity.  You may feel you are losing your beauty, figure, or previous life due to the baby.

4. Vampires in dream symbolize parasitic behaviour or feeding off others. To be bitten by a vampire most likely represents your feelings about the baby being so sensitive and needy that you have to change your life for it’s needs.  It reflects your awareness of how dependent the baby is on you, and your discomfort with it.

The spiders symbolize irrational beliefs. A sign you may be allowing paranoia, fears, or strong insecurities to control your habits.   You need to be more objective, and possibly open up more to others so you don’t allow anything to be make you feel limited.

A Dream Of Murdering Someone

The Dream

“I have been smoking marijuana for the last 10 years and have recently given it up and have been sober for the last 9 days.  I seem to be having extremely vivid nightmares that every night which started about 4 days ago.  I wake up exhausted and I can remember almost every aspect of the dream.

The strangest and most disturbing thing is that in some of the nightmares I murder someone in a violent way.  This really bothers me quite a bit as I think of myself as quite a non violent person, I did not even think that my mind was capable of producing such things.  The dreams seem to be repeating in cycles within the night with a few aspect of the scene changing each cycle.  This is really beginning to bother me…”

The Interpretation

The murder is most likely symbolic for your attempts to stop smoking weed. You are “murdering” your addiction or killing your habit.  If weed is something that you enjoy a lot and has been a big part of your life then quitting is probably very difficult. The man you murder probably symbolizes your weed habit and your struggle to confront it.
