Why Are Dreams About My Dead Husband Always Negative ?

Question

“My husband was killed in a car accident 18 months ago and I don’t dream about him often.  When I do he has always left me for another woman.”

Answer

The dream most likely reflects your feeling of abandonment.  It possibly also reflects your fear that in the afterlife he is doing something else.  The cheating in the dream most likely symbolizes your projection of him enjoying his new life without you.

It’s also possible that your husband cheating on you reflects your feelings of abandonment when you do things that he used to be involved with.  The constant reminders that he is no longer with you.

Married Woman Keeps Dreaming Of Her Ex-Boyfriend

Question

“I keep dreaming about being with my ex-boyfriend and being really happy.  I got married in January, but I don’t love my husband and never did…even before we got married.   I just didn’t have the courage to call off the wedding.  Both before my marriage and after I keep dreaming about my ex and I still deeply love him.  What are my dreams indicating?”

Answer

I think your ex represents your desire and longing for him. You are happy with your ex in your dream possibly because it reflects how content  you are desiring him or daydreaming about a future you’d like to have with him.  The dreams are a sign that you are too content with putting up with this unhappy marriage while you wish for something better.

My advice is to stop desiring your ex and move on or confront your husband with the truth and end this marriage. Either way, you shouldn’t be spending your time fantasizing about someone that you may never have a real relationship with…especially when you’re married.  I think you should spend some time making a serious decision about what you really want.  It sounds like a divorce may be in your best interest in the long term.

Dreams Of Pumpkins And Bats

The dreamer is flirting with a guy that is already in a relationship. She is getting mixed signals from this guy about whether he honestly has feelings for her.

The Dream

“I dreamed that I saw pumpkins being tossed out of a tree.  I asked a friend to pick me up a pumpkin, but they never did.  Then I dreamed of a bat flying all around me and getting in my clothes.”

The Interpretation

I believe that both of your dreams are focused on your relationship issues with this man you’re flirting with.  There is a need for you to see closure with this man’s other relationship that you are annoyed about not seeing.  I will run through the symbolism so you can see it for yourself.

Trees in dreams represents some area of our life that is established or difficult to remove.  In this case this reflects the relationship you see this man having with his current girlfriend.  The pumpkins being tossed out of the tree represents your perception of closure or stories you are hearing about the end of this man’s relationship.  You never see your friend pick you up a pumpkin because it represents you never feeling respect from this guy when it comes to getting a straight answer about his current relationship ending.  You never get the closure you want.

The bat dream symbolizes mixed messages. Your heart feels a promise from this guy, but he never comes through with it.  The bat is in your clothes because this man’s failure to come through and break up with his current girlfriend is driving you crazy or frustrating you.

The dreams are a sign that you probably need to demand absolute proof of this man’s intentions before you spend anymore time hoping he’ll come around. Let him show you that he wants you by actually being with you instead of just hoping it will happen.  If you can’t get that then it may be time to move on.

Dreamed Of The First Day Of School

The dreamer is having problems meeting a woman.  They’ve experienced a lot of failed attempts and disappointments.  Many of the women they try to get to know already have partners or let him now they have a partner long after he’s gotten to know them.  He’s unable to make a woman interested in him.

The Dream

“I keep having dreams that it’s the first day of high school and I’m dressed in a Japanese school uniform while everyone else is dressed casually.  I sit down at a lunch table with my friend who is surrounded by girls.  All the girls start to get rude and talk down to me like I’m not good enough.”

The Interpretation

High school in  dreams reflects anxiety or a deep focus on attaining more power or status.  Your concern about proving yourself or developing yourself.  This would perfectly reflect your attempts to get a girlfriend or anxiety about not being able to speak to girls effectively.  If you keep dreaming about the first day of school it’s most likely reflecting your recurring concern about facing situations where you feel you are not good enough to get a girlfriend or not being respected because you don’t have a girlfriend.

In the dream you are dressed in a school uniform while everyone else is dressed casually because it represents your feelings about yourself being perceived by others as being scared of girls or nervous around women while other guys appear to have no problems at all.

Sitting down at the table with your friend and feeling that all the girls are talking down to you may reflect your feelings about girls not responding to your methods or your feelings that trying to speak to girls is pointless because you are telling yourself that you are not good enough.

Either way, the dream is a sign that you need to focus on developing confidence.  If you don’t believe in yourself, that is picked up quickly by women and will become a major hurdle to your goal of getting a girlfriend.  Remember, human beings are animals just like the rest of the animal kingdom.  Born to face the world and have families.  So think of women like female animals that are always testing you to see if your worthy to have children with.  If you give off signals of being nervous then that tells the female brain that something wrong with your health or ability to provide for children.  Arrogant or cocky men usually have better results with women because they believe in their abilities and project that outwards.  If you are projecting weakness or anxiety that tells women that you can’t do the job as a father.

Working out, getting involved in sports, or trying to talk to girls as friends is a good first step developing your confidence.  Stop pressuring yourself.  Love usually catches you by surprise anyway.  If your friends are putting you down or making you feel like a loser for not being a Casa Nova than it may be time to get some new friends.

I Dreamed That I Kissed The Grim Reaper

The dreamer is in school and has finally decided what they want to do career wise when school is finished.

The Dream

“I had a dream I kissed death, the grim reaper.  I was kissing a person I don’t like very much and they turned into the grim reaper.  Any thoughts?”

The Interpretation

Death (the act of dying not the character) in dreams usually reflects change.  Since the The Grim Reaper is someone who forces is to accept death as inevitable the symbolism is probably reflecting your feelings of being forced to move on from school to find a suitable career path.  It may also be pointing to your sensitivity about about the uncertainty of your future and feeling that you no choice but to pick a career choices just to get it over with.

The dream may be a sign that you should not pressure yourself into any particular career path if you aren’t 100% happy with it.  There are all kinds of jobs you can have in this world, including running your own business.  Listen to your heart.

White Swan Following Me In My Dream

The dreamer is trying to avoid a friend from their past that they don’t like any more.  They’ve defriended them on Facebook.

The Dream

“A white swan was following me.  I was tried to avoid it by moving around it, but it kept following me.  There were other people there too trying to help me, but that swan still kept following me. Then I saw myself throwing rocks at fish.”

The Interpretation

Your avoidance of the swan may reflect your wish to avoid friendship with your old friend and your sensitivity about them even bothering to try to reach out to you.  The swan reflects the ideal intentions of this old friend wanting to be in your life or to “bury the hatchet.”  Something you clearly want to avoid.  Throwing stones in the dream could reflect your hostile feelings to this friend, talking about them behind their back, or defriending them on Facebook with the knowledge that they might notice it.  The dream may be a sign that you are bit too sensitive about this person wanting to restore the friendship.

Dream Of A Crow On My Bed

The dreamer has been been sober from drug use for over two years.  They recently had drugs given to them and were trying their hardest to resist the urge to use them.  They had these drugs sitting in their bedroom for days and they struggled to throw them in the garbage.

The Dream

“I could see myself sleeping, the sun was coming through my window like the sun had just gone up. All of a sudden, this small crow started pecking at my feet, it woke me up (in my dream).  Then, I really woke up.”

The Interpretation

The dream sounds like a reflection of your feelings about resisting using the drugs that were given to you.  Beds usually symbolize inaction or a problem we are too comfortable with. In this case the bed may reflect you not having done anything about the drugs in the house.  Your lack of will to throw them out.

The crow possibly symbolizes how annoying or obnoxious the cravings for the drugs were. It keeps eating away at you or calling you and you can’t stand it. The crow pecks at your feet  to reflect the craving of drugs luring you into considering changing your principles and going back to be a drug user.

If you threw the drugs out (in waking life) then it sounds like you finally “got out of bed” on the issue and dealt with the problem that the dream was hinting at.

I Keep Dreaming That I’m Evil

The dreamer feels regret for something wrong they did to a person they are no longer friends with.  They feel that they will never be forgiven.

Question

“I never really had bad dreams until a while back when I did something that I really regret.  It seems since then I’ve had several dreams that suggest that I am evil.  Why is that?”

Answer

If you feel that you are evil in your dreams then it’s probably reflecting guilt, regret, or feelings that other people think you are bad person. It may not be that other people actually you think you’re bad just that you think that they do.  The dreams may be a sign that you need to forgive yourself or stop being so sensitive about what other people think of you.
